The food is not the only element that contributes to the experience, but also the modern elegant decor and exceptional service. Our waiter, Eddy, demonstrated great knowledge along with the restaurant’s sommelier. Scarpetta boasts a beautiful Italian wine section, as well as many French classics. For those with a taste for the finer life, Scarpetta has a Truffle Menu, with five courses of perfectly executed dishes showcasing the delicate flavor of truffles.

Scarpetta Miami South BeachAs for the appetizers, a must try is the Creamy Polenta with a fricassee of truffled mushrooms is an absolute must. I can confidently say it is the best polenta I have eaten, even when I was living in Italy.

As shown above, the Spaghetti, normally a very simple dish, is a true star on the menu. Mr. Conant has figured out a perfect combination of tomatoes to basil and house made al dente spaghetti. We enjoyed this as an appetizer however I would easily get this as my main course next time. Scarpetta Miami South Beach

Another show stopper is the Duck and Foie Gras Ravioli (pictured above) with a Marsala Reduction. It is a rich, but balanced dish of complex flavors. Our waiter inspired me to order this dish, claiming it is one of the best items on the menu, and one Chef Conant particularly enjoys himself. He did not dissapoint. 🙂

I would absolutely recommend dining at Scarpetta and will surely be returning soon in the future.
