Beauté: Chanel Illusion D’Ombre in Apparence

Chanel Allusion Apparence Review

After a brief visit to my favorite department store, Lord & Taylor, I came across a Chanel makeup event that I got talked into participating in. They had a national makeup artist representing the Chanel brand of makeup on site to show off their new fall collections. Mario Penailillo wanted to try something “fun” on me so he reached for this rich, beautiful new eyeshadow in their collection.

Chanel Allusion Apparence Review

It is #817 , color Apparence. A slightly creamy based eyeshadow that is just the most stunning antique gold tone, not too overpowering on the yellow tones or brass. I will admit, it is a tad pricey, at $38 for a small jar but I feel as though I will be able to use this all of the time and I intend to use it very, very sparingly.

Mario picked this shade for me specifically because he felt it would look beautiful against tan skin and would compliment my gold tones. I used it with a primer as a base and it lasted me about 6-7 hours looking perfect. I would highly recommend it though the price, it is a beautiful addition to your makeup collection and just imagine how lovely it will look during the holiday season.
